The Honorable Andrew A. May is a public servant from Pollap Island, Chuuk State, in the Federated States of Micronesia. Born on December 21, 1972.
Vice Speaker May pursued his education in nursing and public administration, attending the College of Micronesia-FSM, the College of the Marshall Islands, and the University of Guam. He earned an Associate of Science degree in Nursing and later continued his studies with a focus on Nursing and a minor in Public Administration.
Before entering politics, Vice Speaker May built a distinguished career in healthcare and social services. He worked in various roles including nurse assistant, caregiver, community living mentor, social worker, house manager, assistant program director, and program director with organizations in Guam that provided support for individuals with disabilities, mental illness, and vulnerable populations. He also served as a CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor and received extensive professional training in crisis management, emergency response, health care and community services.
Since April 2013, Honorable Andrew A. May has served as the Northwest Region Representative in Chuuk State House of Representatives, representing his constituents since Twelfth Legislature and present. His career reflects a longstanding commitment to public service, healthcare, community development, and the well-being of the people of Chuuk.
