The Honorable Asaichy Sana is a dedicated public servant, educator, and legislator from the Upper Mortlocks region of Chuuk State, Federated States of Micronesia. He began his education at Iras Elementary School, graduating in 1977, and continued at Moen Junior High School (Mizpah) from 1977 to 1979 before attending Truk High School from 1979 to 1981. During high school, he was selected to participate in the Gifted and Talented Students Program administered by the late Professor Aldon Higashy of the College of Micronesia. He graduated from Truk High School in 1981.
Pursuing higher education, he attended the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico from 1981 to 1984. He later studied part-time at Chemeketa Community College in Oregon from 1985 to 1986, where he served as President of the International Club. He continued his studies at Western Oregon State University from 1987 to 1988.
His professional career began in education as a teacher at Berea Christian School in 1989. In 1990, he joined the FSM Revenue Office as a Revenue Officer I and served in various leadership positions, including Officer in Charge (1993–1995) and Acting Deputy Secretary of Customs and Tax Administration for the Chuuk Field Office (1996–1998).
In 1998, he was appointed by former Governor Ansito Walter to represent the people of Upper Mortlocks in the Chuuk State House of Representatives following the passing of the late Representative Dickson Sana. Since then, he has served continuously as a Representative, contributing to numerous legislative committees. Throughout his tenure, he has held positions as Chairman and Vice Chairman of committees including Health and Welfare, Judiciary and Government Operations, Finance and Fiscal Affairs, Resources and Development, and Ways and Means.
His long record of public service reflects a commitment to education, leadership, and the advancement of the people of Chuuk and the Federated States of Micronesia.
