The Honorable Erat A. Salle is a Representative in the Chuuk State Legislature, serving in the House of Representatives and as Chairman of the Health and Welfare Committee. He is from Satowan in the Mortlocks region of Chuuk State and is a citizen of the Federated States of Micronesia.
Representative Salle received his education at Berea Christian School and Pohnpei Agriculture and Trade School and furthered his training at the Pacific and Paramedical Training Center in New Zealand, including specialized training in blood banking, transfusion, and cell morphology.
Before entering public service, he built an extensive career in the medical field, serving as an embalmer at Chuuk Hospital Morgue, a laboratory specialist, and Acting Supervisor of the medical laboratory. With many years of experience in both laboratory services and mortuary work, he also played a critical role as part of certified medical and HAZMAT response teams during emergencies, including pandemics and major incidents.
His strong background in healthcare and emergency response makes him well qualified and well suited to serve as Chairman of the Health and Welfare Committee.
